The inner part of the cylinder is equipped with a permanent magnetic system of strontium ferrite, which can promote the rapid adsorption of magnetic particles onto the surface of the filter cloth. The magnetic filter is mainly used for dehydration of thick and strong magnetic mineral concentrate slurry. Due to the upper feeding, the effect of separating the concentrate in the filter cake by particle size is more obvious. When the magnetic concentrate forms the filter cake, the particles are subjected to both gravity and magnetic force, and the coarse concentrate moves faster towards the filter cloth than the fine concentrate, The fine particles first come into contact with the filter cloth, so the permeability of the filter cake is good. Moreover, the magnetic particles in the slurry are radially distributed on the surface of the cylinder under magnetic attraction, and magnetic stirring is generated due to changes in the polarity of the magnetic system. This is a favorable condition for the easy dehydration of the filter cake, making it thick and permeable, significantly improving productivity. Compared with cylindrical vacuum filters of the same specification, its efficiency is more than three times higher.
The specific magnetization coefficient of solid particles in the slurry of this machine is not less than 3000×10-6 cm3/g, with particle size ranging from 0.15 to 0.8 millimeters. The feed concentration is 60%.
